My DVD burner has stopped burning my 4x DVDs at 4x and will only burn them at 1x.
I used Nero CD/DVD speed and my discs only came up as 1x, though they are telling my computer they can go 4x.
They're the same discs that i've been using for years and i've opened several different spindles just to check that it's definatley not the DVDs (Princo by the way).

I think it must be the drive playing up but is there anyway i can tell for sure?

Thanks

If you want to check for sure, try using them in a different burner, and/or try using different brand discs in your current burner.
