Hi im having problems with my Laptop, its a Packard Bell and the DVD Drive will not eject nor read discs. I have only recently installed itunes. But a few days later, i inserted a music disc, the drive made a noise and crashed, from there the disc wont eject after several reboots and have to result to emergency pin hole release on the drive. From this i thought i would see if it would boot windows xp disc on startup, it comes to the usual black screen where it reads the disc and then says 'press any key to book disk' but it stops on the black screen with a flashing line in the top left hand corner just before when it normally says' press any key to boot disk'. i cant determine if this is software or hardware, nor can i format and reinstall windows. does anyone have any idea? i hope ive provided enough information and thankyou.
