All those happy little icons next to me clock have vanished. My system tray is completely gone. I tried restoring back to a few days before it vanished using the windows system restore utility but it had no effect. I searched these forums to see if my question had already been answered and I found this thread. I tried doing what -=jonnyrotten=- suggested but my customize option is greyed out.

Even if no one knows a solution I'd also appreciate work arounds. It's impossible for me to use any program with it's menu based on the system tray

try clearning the notification area from the registry for the tray...maybe a corruption

Thanks for the quick rely, gerryf.

Tried it, no good. Everything appears exactly the same. Could it have been something I did while using tweakui?
