How Can I Check If Motherboard accepts SATA or IDE

How would i know?

Looking for an internal hard disk.

Specs as shown :
8mb cache / 7200rpm / SATA

Im currently already running 2 internal hard disk, would there be any problem running a third one?

well...the best way to tell if your motherboard can support sata would be to actually look up the motherboard make and model on the manufacturer's website...reall easy to get specs that way


the quickest way is to look at the board itself

a SATA port looks something like this Posted Image

and an IDE or EIDE or PATA (all the same) looks like the blue and black guys here Posted Image

Oh, the red colour's one is the port for the hard disk?

Looks like mines a sata one then. =/
