RAM speed on 965lt mobo

But in Bios I have the choice of 4-4-4-12. I am running at 667mhz because of the 1gig/512 Dual channel setup. I tried to set it at 800mhz and it crashed, I was wondering if in BIOS I can at least set the timing to 4-4-4-12 withou problems? If I had 4, 512s it would run at 800 but not with the 1gigs in DIMM slot 1
