Hi All,

I have my wires friends laptop here it's a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo s/n 3320363.

The problem is when you power it up weither from mains or battery the lcd stays black the power indicator is solid green the power supply fan kicks in, the hdd indicator for a split second is orange then no activity comes from it, and the cd rom tries to kick in spinning then stopping spinning then stopping. I have tried connecting it to an external monitor but nothing i have also tried using a torch to the screen to see if i can see anything but nothing.

My theory is hdd is bad

Any further thoughts or comments would be grateful.

:whistling: thanks in advance
