Ok, here's a weirdo. When uninstalling a GANT-iconpack and restoring normal icons using GUI-replacer XP on my stationary stopped working, when I boot I get a BSOD saying that winsrv is missing. I bought an USB-harddiskadapter and moved my C: hd to my laptop to be able to copy the winsrv.dll from there.
It turnes out that my c: still has winsrv.dll in both windows/system32 and windows/servicepackfiles/i386 but I still can't boot, I still get the BSOD stating that winsrv is missing??

My problem is that my XP cd is 1000 km away...otherwise I guess I could just make a repair installation.
