Hey Gang,

I am a first time post-er. In fact it took me a week to figure out how to post. I was able however to follow a post you had on the WinaAntiVirus issue. Boy would I like to meet the maker of that bugger in a dark alley.

Anyways, I followed the posts as best I could, and I have stopped the pop-ups, but my computer is still running slow. Also several settings were changed on my computer without my knowledge. My privacy settings for cookies kept being changed to nothing blooked. That has stopped. However, visual effects on my computer were changed. Even a saved word document on my desktop became a wordperfect doc. I am now getting an occasional error message about the size of my virtual memory.

I have a Dell Inspiron 2200. If I ran a hjk log and post it, could you tell me if I got rid of the junk that got on my computer and if I did anything wrong in removing the bad stuff that resulted in removing good stuff?

Thanks so much. :whistling:

I have not seen any responses to this post so I wanted to add a Hijack log to see if that might help with a response. I am still getting the low virutal memory error and my laptop is still running slow. I was wondering if some of this may be due to the number of anti-spyware programs I have down loaded to help clean up the original problem with winantivirus?

Here is the log. Thanks for any help offered.
