keyboard keys not in the right place

hello my @ key is found by using the arrow key and the 2 key
my arrow key and 3 key produces a hash
does anyone know how to get my keyboard back to normal please

click on start > then settings > then control panel > then regional and language options

go to the languages tab and press the details button then the add button

locate "english (UK)" and highlight it then press ok

now highlight the "english (us)" in the list and click remove...then press apply and ok

now your keyboard should realize that it's not in america
