Hi There, Im new here. and looking for some HELP!!

We recently revamped our home PC. I got a hold of a copy of XP Office Pro. Installed it, did the updates etc etc.
BUT ever since i have done that i keep getting this message every time i am prompted for updates....which seems to be happening alot more then it used to actyally.

" the feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removeable disk this is not available"

and then:
insert the microsoft office xp pro with front disk and click ok.

when i click OK it says:

the path micro office xp pro cannot be found, verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package "PROPLUS.MSI" in a folder from which you can install the product micro office xp pro with front page

after i click cancel it says:

Use Source: and then in like a drop down box..with only this one option it says: Microsoft Office XP Professional w/front page

how can i fix this? Its driving me insane!

thank you!!

Try to open MS Word, go to "Help" >> "Detect and Repair" and run the Repair. You will likely need to insert your Office CD.

You can try to download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, http://support.micro...kb;en-us;290301 then reinstall Office XP. Then download Office SP3 full file http://www.microsoft...;DisplayLang=en .
