Is anyone aware of what ReleaseEngineer.MACROVISION is?

It's weird, because I'm using Vista, which does not use "Documents and Settings".

Someone else (Bruce) has (or had) the same problem (Bruce's post), but it was quickly closed :whistling: . In my case, however, the software affected is MSGTAG, but other than that I have the exact same symptons as Bruce.

Not that MSTAG is supported here, but MSGTAG had worked perfectly for months. I then tried to instal WalMart's music download software, which TOTALLY screwed up my Vista installation - thank you, WalMart. I attempted to remove all of WalMart's mess, but this ReleaseEngineer.MACROVISION may be remnants of it, because that's when MSGTAG started having problems.

I also note that there's a Macrovision "Software Updates" shortcut in my Start Menu.

The above may be legitimate, but I don't know. Anyone know if it is, or what it is?

Thanks in advance for the above.
