i'm a noob when it comes to hardware that doesn't connect to a PCI slot.
i was wondering how important GHZ are, and how can i upgrade this?
tell me all you know about ram, and GHZ, please.

This site has some good basic info on it: How RAM Works. In order to upgrade the speed in which your RAM runs you would have to replace your existing stick. This is becuase your RAM will only run as fast as your slowest stick. The maximum speed that RAM is determined by your motherboard.
