Hello

In the "my documents" foder all sub-folders at the second level are simply gone. I don't know if I've got the terminology right here but all the folders in 'my documents' are still there, while the folders inside these again are gone.

When I try to open a file that were in one of the missing folders from the 'recent files' list in, say, excel, I get an error message saying that the file can't be found. The folders are not in the recycling can, while files deleted long ago are still there (it has not been emptied).

I recently ran adaware from Lavasoft and defragmented my hard drive. It is possible the this coincided with the 'folder abduction'.

What's this?? am I infected by a virus or is it a problem related to all the regkeys that adaware has a tendency to dislike and delete?

Any help to get my folders back would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
