My search with Windows XP gives response "Search complete. There are no results to display" As a test I've tried to search for files that I know that are there and where they are and receive the same response. Consequently my "Search" is a waste. I have all the latest Windows Updates.

Thank you for any assistance.

Try running each one of the following. Wait until each returns info before entering next one. Click on Search, then Run and enter first of the following:

regsvr32 wshom.ocx
regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 urlmon.dll

Click OK. After all have been registered, see if your Search function works. May have to reboot, but usually not.
