i am trying to install a logitech 350 headset [usb] on this pc and it can not install the software. software is part of the service pack 2 update according to logitech. logitech doesn't offer any drivers for the set,
this headset will work on my other 3 pc just fine, so the set is fine. the last line on this thread shows the device.
any ideas anybody??????

Hi. So did they give you software to install, or no?

(Assuming you have a CD with install files) Are you getting error messages when you try to install?

Make sure the microphone is not muted as well.

Have you checked to be sure that nothing is muted? Does the microphone support the 20 decibel boost?

well you see XP wont install the headset at all, it cant find the driver.

yes i have
i suspect that the pc may have some corruption in the service pack 2 or bad usb driver.however i dont know how to diag my ideas.
if i remove service pack 2 i'm afraid i will lose alot of things permently :whistling:
