I don't know a lot about viruses but i'm not a total idiot. About a week ago I got a virus from opening up an autoextracting archived file that turned out to be a virus. I did some scans and Norton kept finding info stealer but it had some other hidden file that would re-download it everytime Norton cleaned it out. So i read through your forums and found another person that had the same problem so i went through the same steps hoping i could clean it out myself without bothering you guys. I ran Hijackthis, then ATF cleaner and then SuperAntiSpyware. Found what i thought were the infected files and cleaned out what i could with the programs and deleted the rest manually. It seemed to work really well and i thought i was clean. I cleaned out my system restore points and browser history, cookies etc. then updated to Norton 2007 and it seemed to be clean for 5 days except i kept getting different errors. first it was a wuauclt.exe error. so i read about it on here and fixed it by forcing a windows update that was linked on here to install. then i started getting system shutdown errors caused by services.exe came back here and read about it and tried several things but none worked. so i just copied the services.exe file from my other uninfected computer and it fixed it totally. then a couple days after that i started getting another error (error loading: C:\Windows\system32\j2221032.dll) and a ton of alerts from Norton saying it keeps blocking unauthorized access. everytime i scan with norton it seems like a new virus or trojan comes up. (ie. backdoor.rustock.b, dowloader.mislead.app, trojan.vundo) I don't want to get help for something i could easily fix myself but this is driving me crazy and i'm clueless.
