I have been away from the windows world for a while, i love my mac but i decided it was time to reformat my xp system back up, i did this with success and for the first few times logged on everything worked fine, however i then opened the computer casing up and added an extra harddrive, when i booted the computer up it just presented a blank screen so i unplugged the extra harddrive and ran it with just the old one, but now when i have logged in i can not click on anything to do with windows, i can open shortcuts but i cannot click close buttons or open the start menu, does anyone know why this is and how i could sort it out please?

Try the "F8" routine.

1. Restart PC and immediately hold down the F8 key.
2. When 'Advanced Startup Menu' appears, select 'Last known good configuration'.
