ok my brother has a laptop, The other day when he tried to shut it down it just restarted and everytime he tried to shut down it just restarted. So I thought there was something wrong with his power system. I had him run virus scan, and found a few viruses. Then he hard turned it off (pressing the power button for 10 sec's). No It does not turn on all the time, we have to unplug it take out the batt and replace the batt and about 1 out of 10 times it turns it self on. It will not turn on with the power button no matter what! SO I took it apart and blew out the dust... and still nothing. Is there any suggestions from anyone??

Please help me out here I am at a loss~!

I have to ask. Were you clicking "Shutdown" or "Restart".

"No It does not turn on all the time, we have to unplug it take out the batt and replace the batt and about 1 out of 10 times it turns it self on. "

Sounds like a bad battery or system board. Does it work correctly with the battery uninstalled?
