i've reinstalled xp on my laptop and now i have no wired network adapter listed in my network connections. I tried to follow the advice given for this same problem here but when i try to run the everst home edition program, it just flashes that black box command prompt window and nothing else happens.

any advice on how i find out what network adapter i have?

thanks in advance.
