I seem to be missing my add/remove program list in Windows XP. I am not sure when It happened. I added a couple of games from e-games that I bought in the store. I have used one in the past without any problem. So I went to uninstall one of the games and the only items in the add/remove list are the latest games added and a couple of others like the windows media player. Other than that, the computer is working great. Anybody have a suggestion?

I'm not too sure about getting the list back. But you can try a 3rd party, free software thats basically an alternate to the add/remove programs list. You can try it out and see if it works: My Uninstaller

Thanks, I considered doing that, but I tried to do a partial restore using a program I have , fix-it utilities 6, but when I did , the restore failed and I lost everything. It went into a continual cycle of showing the initial sony screen. All I could do was put in the recovery disk. (The fix-it disk is also a recovery disk). Again, it failed to restore, but the next screen came up which said hit F-7 to restore with Back-on -track and that worked perfectly in about 10 minutes. I also had my add-remove list back! I only lost the fix-it and some library software, so very happy! It seems I must have had another deep seeded problem. Being prepared saved me though, because between fix-it and roxio back-on-track I got everything back including my documents. I think I will download the Uninstaller, just in case I need it later! Thanks again.

Wow! Thanks, that was great. I bookmarked that site for future reference. I forgot to note also, after the restore with back-on-track, the computer ran chk disk automatically and it deleted several indexes, so I think I might have had a virus. Good now though. running better than ever! If anyone wants back-on-track, let me know. It goes for 39.99 for one computer, but I have a coupon code that makes is 32.00. It saved my bacon!
