XP Sound Problem

i recently reinstalled windows but ever since i have ive had no sound but ive got all the lateset drivers
i just last night created a new area logged on to that and had sound! :whistling:
why do i only it have it on 1 area

please help

This may have only happened to me but..in the Control Panel>Sound and Audio Devices, is the volume set on high?

no because when i go controlpannel/Sounds wateva
all of the boxes are greyed out but when i go on this other user its fine
why is this and hw can i fix it?

have you tried this also...Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Component Services/Services. Make sure audio is enabled
