PowerDVD came with my computer, but it didn't seem to read the DVDs, so I installed InterActual player. All DVD playing worked in the InterActual player, so I figured PowerDVD wasn't necessary. I had no idea they weren't both DVD decoders. So I uninstalled PowerDVD, and of course now I can't play anything.

I didn't create a system restore point before uninstalling. I don't think the computer came with a CD containing this sort of software. Is there any way to get back my DVD decoder? If not, is there a free decoder that would work?

I'm not a heavy DVD user, and don't need Hi-Def or anything fancy. I just want to be able to watch the occasional movie now and then.

Thanks - your help is appreciated.
