[Pinger]

I have have picked up this BackDoor-CVT from somewhere and cannot get it off my system. I have numerous pop ups constantly coming up, explorer runs slowly or just closes making even writing this difficult at times.

I am looking for a way to get rid if anyone has some advise I would be most grateful.

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.

• Close all other windows before proceeding.
• Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
• When it has finished, DSS will open two Notepads: main.txt and extra.txt
• Use Save As to save both Notepad files to your Desktop and post them in your next reply.

Look in your control panels add/remove programs for PuritySCAN By OIN, OuterInfo, OIN or similar , click on it and click remove.
Reboot and delete this folder if found:
C:\Program Files\PurityScan

If not listed, download and run this uninstaller:
http://www.outerinfo...Uninstaller.exe

Tutorial for the uninstaller if needed

Reboot when done and delete this folder if found:
C:\Program Files\PurityScan


Next

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
• When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
• Turn your computer back on.
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Hello again

I folowed the instructions and looked for the files in my add/remove programs for the programs listed. However none of this were listed. I checked all the publishers for all my programs and again nothing was listed.

I then ran the un-installer.

I re-booted and scanned for the following file but it was not found. C:\Program Files\PurityScan.

I then ran Vundofix and scanned but no Vundo was found. So there ws no Vundofix txt file to post but I have now ran Hijackthis and posted it below.
