Recently we switched from a DSL network to a cable broadband network for our computers at home. The wireless computers work well as does one of the wired computers but the other wired computer has great difficulty connecting. It usually will connect but very slowly and sometimes not at all. I downloaded winsockfix and I thought it helped but it hasn't. The only thing that seems to work is to open multiple windows of internet explorer at the same time and the third or fourth window will almost connect instantly. Bizarre?

If anyone could offer any advice, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Hello lantis,

Have you tried updating the firmware for the router?

thank you tuxmaster. I think that got it. It's connecting and running faster while connected but, it still takes a bit to load the homepage. Of course, that might be a broadband problem.

Thank you again!
