PC freeze! a bit off topic.

Excuse me if this is a bit off topic.

My computer repeatedly freeze whenever i try to access a game on warcraft 3. The freeze time is completely random, however it freezes inveitably once the game begins. I am not sure whether this problem only applies to games, but this was my first time experiencing this problem since i bought this computer (which was last year). I tried running the game with no programs in the background but it freezes regardlessly. Can anyone tell me what might be the cause of this problem? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a problem with the ram, might as well give here a test......

Things have changed for the worse...
I noticed that the problem occurs everytime my antivirus scanner (NOD32) scans to 53%

The computer completely freezes, mouse cannot move, cannot alt tab, sound stops, but the video is just frozen.
Only solution is to restart.

It happened in alot of games (Warcraft 3, Warhammer 40k, CS)
And it happened once while I was watching a video (but was scanning at the same time)

AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+
2.00 GHz, 1.00GB of Ram
Microsoft Xp pro, service pack 2
Geforce 6600 256mb

Can i get some instructions on how to run the memtest86 program?
