Quake 3 says 16 Bit windows subsystem

hi i have quake 3 ready to run on my fx5200 and 2.5GHz spec ok right this is wht i get on my monitor 16 Bit Windows Subsystem then says

SYSTEM\currentcontrolset\control\virtualdevicedriver.VDD virtual device driver format in the registry is invalid

what the [bleep] does it mean? help appreciated thanx :tazz:
