limited or no connectivity

my laptop is able to connect wirelessy to the internet but when i hook it up thru an ethernet cable it says limited or no connectivity. I use this same cable to connect my desktop and it works perfectly fine. Can some please help?

Click Start > settings > control panel > system > hrdware > device manager. Expand "network adapters" and report the number of drivers that you see there. Are there any yellow or red marks near any of them?

sorry but I fixed the problem. I had to turn off my cable modem and turn it back on. Weird but it solved the problem. Thank You!
