Right, is there a way to recovery MSN contacts from the temp files in Application Data?

My girlfriend went to delete her "Live Space" and deleted her account by accident.

MSN contacts (presuming you mean "MSN Messenger contact list") is stored on the MSN end. Therefore it never has been deleted.

Live Space is an entirely different thing and presuming you only deleted the Live Space area, everything else should be there. But if you mean your girlfriend purged her entire MSN account, then everything will have gone, contacts, email, the lot.
