iTune not starting

Hi,

I never had a problem with iTune (using Windows XP) and have used it for at least siX months along with my iPod. I stopped using it 3 months back and last week when I tried to open it, it does not start. I uninstalled and reinstalled itune and QuickTime twice but so far no luck.

I came across the following link and tried few steps mentioned in the link but so far no luck

Recently my laptop's "CheckPoint VPN Secure client" was upgraded so I thought the problem is with this software. However, after stopping this software iTune still does not start. Any help/clue to resolve this problem would be highly appreciated.

I have run the following tool and didn't find anything
