ffis wont seem to go away, i have tryed to delete the file isrvs but it wont let me, was wondering if any of you guys can help me figure this 1 out, i have been lookin at other peoples problems also, doesnt seem to work for me, thanks :tazz:

Run HijackThis. Click on "Config...", "Misc Tools", "Open process manager". Select the following files and click on "Kill process". Answer Yes to the "Are you sure..." question.

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as fixme.reg and save it on your Desktop

ok i did the fixme thing and i was working on the unreg.bat, when i click on the unreg.bat on my desktop the first 2 files it says cannot be registered and the last 1 it says access is denied :tazz:

Reboot to safe mode and run it, restart once back in normal try again,

i did the safe mode thing u mentioned, same thing the first file cannot be found the second cannot be registered and the third access is denied

Go ahead and finish going through the steps from here
Delete the following files/folders (if present) in C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32

Down post back a fresh log when done please

i have deleted everything, yet HJT still says it is there and AVG doesnt seem to find anything

Lets see how we do here,

Please open HJT> Click on the Config button> Click >Misc. Tools > Click > Open Process manager> Highlight “
xae0ab.exe “ >Click> Kill process
Next click the scan button and put a check mark next to the following, close all open windows , Click “ Fix Checked”

Reboot to safe mode ( by tapping the F8 key on start up ) make sure you can view all hidden folders/files View Hidden Folders search for and delete the following in BOLD

C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\mfiltis.dll <--Delete Folder

Restart your computer, restart HJT and post back a fresh log

ok got rid of everything i cant seem to find the xae0ab.exe tho :tazz: i did a search and looked throughout the system32 file, cant seem to find it, even tryed typing del C:\WINDOWS\System32\xae0ab.exe into command prompt, could not find file ty so much tho ;)

Lets try another route,
Please go Here
Download Reglite, Open Reistrar Lite,
Open the program, Click Ctrl and f, this will open search registry. In the upper box type or copy and paste,
C:\WINDOWS\System32\xae0ab.exe
Click on the search Button, When it finds the file and anything associated with it, Highlight it and click Delete the large red x on the bottom of the box.

Note: you may have to do this in safe mode


Post back a fresh log please

Nice job your log is clean !
How is it running ?
Please use the following suggestion to help prevent reinfection

Download the following program, For keeping crap off your system to begin with
Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests. Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox. Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Download Spyware Blaster

Keep Ad-aware and Spybot handy, Check them for updates prior to running and run them weekly
Same with your Anti Virus,

For an added check run an online virus scan, you can use one of the 2 below,
TrendMicro's HouseCall
ActiveScan

Be sure and give the Temp folders a cleaning out now and then as well, Make sure after you clean your Temp files to empty out your Recycle bin as well.
For ease use the following program
Download and install Cleanup
Run "Cleanup" and when it has finished, Reboot

Remeber to Check Windows for updates

Probably a good time to create a new restore point See Here Name it clean or something like that,
