So the Graphics card that came with my computer came with when we bought it is an Nvidea GeForce 6150

Don't get me wrong, but this isnt a bad card. It can run Source Fairly Smooth, but most new games, like CnC 3, Black & White 2, and other games need to have very low graphics turned on them.

My slot is a PCI Express and I have my eye on a Nvidea GeForce 8600 GT OC on Newegg:

the problem is, that I have been getting mixed advice from my friends and family about if I should get it or not. (Whether or not my computer can handle it)

So I thought I would ask here and see what you guys think.

Here are my Comp Specs:

Manufacturer: Compaq Desktop PC
Processor: AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 3500+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHz
Memory: 446MB RAM
Hard Drive: 200gb
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE

Any advice guys?

EDIT: Sorry i posted this in the wrong forum. I moved it.
