Hey everyone,

I have two computers at the momment in different rooms. In room one the computer is connected to the internet, and is also connected to my eight port switch. In room 2 the computer is connected to the switch through the wall etc.. then shares the internet.

Until last night everything was fine, then my internet gateway on comp 2 disapeared, and now neither computer has contact with the other (cant ping or anything)

On the switch only computer one is now recognised by the light up leds. I have tried using different ports, and swapping cables, but no matter what only comp 1 is recognised.

I used my little network tester to make sure the cable through the wall is ok, and it came up fine.

Also the lights on the back of comp 2 network port arent lighting up any more.

Anyone got any suggestions??

Thanks!

I would say your network card failed or you need to reload the driver. Uninstall the device in device manager and let the driver reload when restarting.
