Hi,

I couldn't find any similar posts using the search tool, however some people seem to have been getting 0xc000005 with Internet Explorer.

My PC,

Windows XP
E4400 @ 2GHz stock
8800GTS 320MB
2GB RAM

When I run Oblivion it occasionally quits to the desktop. The error message is 0xc000005. Does anyone know what this is and/or how to fix it?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello Lexo and welcome to G2G!

First of all close all unnecessary background tasks and then try running the game.
Are there any errors in the system or application logs?

Click start > click run > type eventvwr.msc > click ok.
Look under system and application for errors with red Xs than happened at the same time as the problem and then list them with your reply. (Double clicking the error message will display more details).
