Lately my IBM Lenevo Thinkpad has been running a little glitchy and sluggish. I've had it for awhile and would kinda like a fresh start, so I want to reformat the hard drive. The thing is, the laptop doesn't have a CD drive where I can put the start-up disc in. Is there anything I can do?

Welcome to GeekstoGo!!!

If the laptop doesnt have a CD drive, does it have a small recovery partition already installed?

Also there are usb CD drives.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I don't have an external CD drive I can use, and there doesn't seem to be a recovery partition already installed..

perhaps not reinstalling but backing up what you need elsewhere uninstalling the unwanted programs or restoring the computer to a very early restore point might get you back to something like before,

Well, the system restore points don't seem to go back far enough, and I don't have a backup because I was lazy and stupid...
