Font Problems

I'm having some kind of problem with my fonts. I downloaded quite a few fonts off the net, and none of them are showing up. Let me reword that-they show up, but none of them are anything but regular default windows fonts, such as Ariel-they all look exactly the same! I use Paint Shop Pro8 and Front Page, and none of them even show up. Yes, they are installed in Windows/Fonts, and yes, they are all there in the right format. I've uninstalled them, deleted them, and downloaded them again-still the same problem though! I thought it may be a virus, but I have scanned for viruses and none are found. What can I do?

Hi Mollipie, welcome to Geeks to Go!

It looks as though you've done everything correctly.Are they TTF (True Type Fonts)? Did the fonts all come from the same source? I'd guess either the files are corrupted, or not formatted correctly for Windows.
