I have an older PC with a KT4 ultra socket A board, a AMD 2800 Barton cpu ,1 gig 2700 mem, and a EVGA 7600GS /256 mem/ AGP video card and want to do 24 Hour surveillance on it. Will this work? Bruce

I am far from being an expert on the subject but I have seen quite old systems used for this purpose. One of the important factors is the size of the HD. You want a large disk to save the videos. If the disk is small it will fill up quickly. Usually under such circumstances the new recoreds are kept and the oldest deleted. That means that the larger the disk the longer the time that is kept in record.
