I let some friends use my system while I repaired theirs. They had down loaded Bearshare and AIM+
I uninstalled the programs and when I restared the system Search Screen came up. I use task manager to close it otherwise it keeps re-running.

Go to Start>>Run

In Run type in "regedit" without the quotes and click OK

In regedit navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run

Look in the right panel of the Run key and see if Srchasst is listed. If it is delete it.

Nope its not running in there.

I did find AOL & Current Version which AIM+ is part of. I just as soon not have anyyhing AOL in my system.

Also Gtek -- AOD which iI think may be part of AOL 9not sure have to check

Then Just under Microsoft I fin MozllaPlugins (not sure why)

Seems to be a few things listed under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE & Software

Is there something I should try next?

Thank you
