Hey guys! Thanks for all your help in the past..

I'm having an odd problem with Word, and Word only so I'm thinking it be a virus of sorts...

Whenever I type a word and hit the [SPACE BAR] it automatically repeats what i just typed.

For example if i type the word "The" and hit the Space Bar it will end up looking like: "Thethe"

Know what i mean?

Its incredibly frustrating as you can imagine when trying to do Uni homework..

Thanks again....

Hi Bojangles00!

This is an odd problem. I'm finding much on it.

Let's start by forcing Word to start with no global templates. Click Start, Run.., type in winword.exe /a (note a space between winword.exe and /a). Do you have the same behaviour with the spacebar? If not, we'll need to track down whether it's the normal.dot file or some other add-in file causing the issue.

What happened with your system just before you noticed this issue? Did you install anything?

You mentioned a virus.... do you have a reliable antivirus and/or antispyware software installed? Have you updated and run a full system scan recently?

No Antivirus??? That's bad!!

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty (and you may not be) then post a hijackthis log in THE MALWARE FORUM forum.
(Posting HiJack This logs in any other forum other than the malware forum is forbidden. If you post an HJT log in any other forum, it will be removed and it will take you longer to get help, so please make sure you only post HJT logs in the malware forum)

If you are still having problems after getting the "all-clear" from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
