Ummm. Any details. I've used Office 2000 for quite some time with XP Pro & Home and had no problems. Any messages appear? How about bringing up the task manager (Ctrl-Alt-Delete) and seeing if word appears in the Applications Tab or the Processes tab?

Definately need more info... I too have no issues with XP and word 2000 combo. Are you sure you have the resources you need to run the programs?
