I just recently purchased a new graphics card for my system (Sapphire Radeon X1600 pro AGP 8X) to replace my old card to make my computer last for a bit longer until I can make the money to rebuild, but after installing the card I noticed there seemed to be graphical errors in the Windows XP interface. The most obvious error was several vertical white bars running the length of the screen. Also when I went to install new drivers the screen gave me an error that said, "Zero service display error." or something very similar. Frankly I am not sure if the card itself is broken or if it is some sort of driver issue as I don't have too much experience in this sort of problem.

System Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 2800+
Radeon 9800 128mb pro (Old card)
Sapphire Radeon X1600 256mb pro (new card)
Epox Motherboard (can get model number if needed)
1GB Ram
120 GB hard drive

Thanks

How many watts is your PSU putting out? Did you first uninstall your old drivers before installing new ones?

I don'ty think it's an issue with the card. Most likely it is a driver issue or it is underpowered.

My PSU is rated for 350W and I did uninstall the old drivers, but I did not install the new ones until after I installed the new card weather that makes a difference or not.
