I've been doing a lot of research recently and for my budget I came up with this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

Graphics card-8800 gts 320mb

PSU- 550W thermaltake

Mobo- gigabyte p35

HDD- 250Gb Western Digital-7200RPM
Case- Coolmaster centurion 5

RAM- 2GB Patriot 800mhz

DVD Drive- Lite on Dvd drive

Thanks for the help-i'm a rookie to building so any tips are welcome!

Yes it all looks good to me, just one thing though the first thing you need to do when you get it is go into BIOS and boost your RAM up .4V to 2.2V otherwise your going to have troubles. That board is a little fussy when the voltages aren't right, I have the same one. Also, on that motherboard you need to hit CTRL+F1 in BIOS to view alot of the memory changes you can make.
Also just a note here, the P35 cannot run SLI, if you have any plans on doing that in the future.

I dont (as of now) plan on going SLI, so the board should be ok. I will change those voltages too.

Thanks for the reply, James.
