I hade Adobe 7.0.5 installed and was unable to read/open pdfs.

I attempted to download the newest version of Adobe. Would not install - said I needed to uninstall an older version first.

I cannot uninstall Adobe 7.0.5 from my computer in the control panel, remove programs section. It says: "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."

I went to "Safe Mode" and successfully deleted all the Adobe files I could find, but was still unable to Uninstall Adobe from the Control Panel list.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just want to be able to read PDF's.
