Ok I know a lot of people are having connection issues with this game but i still cant find a fix. My issue is a little strange in that I could connect before but not now.

Several months ago i used to regually play with a friend on CoH, everything was fine. However we didnt play for a while and now we cant connect to each other and lots of people cant connect to my game on the game lobby.

The only thing that has changed is that I've changed my router to a BT Homehub (I was still BT before and i dont think the speed of my broadband has changed). My friend says this would have changed my IP address and now we're 'incompatible' with each other. I also cannot ping him using MS CMD. However if we both log onto Hamachi i can ping him then but stilll not log into games together. I can talk to him via xfire msn etc and can also join servers hes on in different games such as BF2 but im still unable to ping him or play him on CoH.

Ive opened the various ports that are suggested, although im not sure im doing this correctly and have disabled all anti-spyware and firewalls. Ive also made new accounts and tried all of them.

Some people can connect to my games but very rarely.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Well changing your router wouldn't making you incompatible with your friend and I don't think that would change your IP you're getting from your provider. It sounds all game specific.

This web page has alot of information on the Homehub, as well as opening ports. You may want to have a look there to see if you were doing it correctly.

http://www.frequency...uk/homehub.html

I would certainly start there and see if you've opened the correct ports properly.

It is strange you can't ping him though... I assume everything else works fine since you've switched? Internet, IMs, email, etc.
