How do you check RAM

Hi
I installed extra RAM into my laptop a while ago and I'm not sure if it was the right one. There seems to be a lot of niggling errors now. Is there any software I can download to check if there are any problems with my RAM?

Hi seanog...

Try the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool. The instructions for using it are on the download page. Run the test for at least four complete passes...any failure will indicate a problem with the RAM module(s).
