If this is in the wrong section I apologize

I have Windows Vista Home Premium, Media center. Twice now after I've watched a recorded program, I use the remote to pause it, a menu comes up with the option to delete the recording, I press it and then the next message comes up asking if I'm sure then when I click on that it beeps a couple of times then the screen where it shows what programs have been recorded comes up and all the programs I've recorded are moving across the screen. I have to press OK or play to get it to stop. Does anyone know why this would happen? Has anyone else had this problem? I'm just not ready to call Dell Support Techs. If it is just a simple thing that I can fix great otherwise it could turn into a freakin nightmare if I have to call them. For instance, something like this could cause the tech to tell me my OS is corrupt and that it will have to be reinstalled. I just got this computer on August 24, 2007.

Any/all help will be/is appreaciated.

Thanks.
