Hi

Can anyone help with a problem regarding System.ini / Win.ini
When I run msconfig and click on system.ini the contents show absolutely nothing. Is this correct??
Regarding win.ini the contents are very few and wondering if that is also correct.
I am attaching 2 screenshot files showing what I am referring to

Are you having any issues with your computer?

Also in XP, it relies on the registry to maintain settings, not like previous versions of Windows.

Depending on what programs have been installed between when Windows was first installed and now, some older ones may need or make entries in Win.ini or System.ini for their uses. But to have them blank isn't unusual as they are now no longer key Windows files like they are in Windows 95, 98 and ME.

Hi Neil

I found this to be odd. when I was helping the user to see "System.ini" blank. But I see were you are coming from.

Thanks!
