I bought a bigger hard drive recently. The problem I am having is transferring data and programs from old hard drive to new hard drive. Any suggestions?

Did your new hard drive come with a CD ROM? If it did, boot from it, read the instructions very carefully and follow them. It will tell you how to format the new drive and move all your installation over to it. If it did not you may still be able to download the software from the drive maker and burn it to a CD for use.

It didn't come with a disk but UPDATE - Problem has been resolved. (Under my instruction my partner formatted my old hard drive whilst I was at work. - Lost most things but managed to recover some files the night before)
