my problem is my printer won't work. I've tried to remove and reinstall. My search says it's no where to be found, but when I insert the disc to reinstall says there's a newer verison installe.

I can scan pix but once scaned can't retrieve. My printer states is off line and I can't get to go online the command isn't there.
it shows the icon. I just put a new ink cartridge in and unable to align.

I've had friends over same problem. Disc says the printer is there, search engine says it's not.

I need step by step simple to understand instructions.

because right now I'm ready to toss the whole thing and it's 2 years old.

I'm very discouraged right now.

Welcome to G2G cindy57

1) When you say the printer is offline, is that the message you see on the printers own LCD screen or is that the printer status according to windows?

2) It sounds like there may by a comms problem between the computer & the printer. If you look, you'll see a USB cable that connects the printer to the computer. Make sure that both ends of this cable are securely connected.

3) Re. reinstalling the software, you will need to uninstall it first before you can reinstall it from the disc. You also need to disconnect the printer's USB cable from the rear of the computer BEFORE reinstalling from the CD. Before you do any of this though, first let me know the answers to 1 & 2.
