Averatec 2370 prompts for Phoenix on boot

My Averatec 2370 laptop (running Windows MCE 2005) came preinstalled with Phoenix recovery software, a 3 month trial. I used Add/Remove programs to uninstall, and thought it was gone, but after the 3 month period, every time I try to boot the computer, a message comes on telling me that the trial period is over, and I have to click ok (hit enter) in order to continue the boot. I tried disabling it on start in MSCONFIG but it still happens. How do I get rid of this?
