I have a wireless modem setup in the house assigned to a generic IP address (to get into the router). I have another router (an offline router just for lan games) that when turned on, I can't connect to the internet. The offline router has a modified IP (172. whatever) so that it doesn't interfere with the other router.

The offline router is a 2wire 2700. The online router is a Netgear Rangemax WPN824 v2.

How are you connecting the offline modem to the wireless or are you not?

Because if you have the wireless connect then hardwire another LAN device, the wireless wont work at the same time
